Stephanie Rubin has been creating outdoor residential spaces since 2005, when she earned her master's degree in landscape design. Her passion is to create a sense of place--to celebrate unique regional qualities, distinct from locations hundreds or thousands miles away, a place that is also special to owner.
In addition to her work as a landscape designer, Stephanie has worked as assistant editor on natural history guides at the University of California Press and as photo editor for the Sunset Western Garden Book and the Sunset Western Garden Book of Landscaping. Her brief but proud career as a hand model began and ended on the title page of the 2012 edition of the Sunset Western Garden Book.
